Love Island star alarms fans as she shares picture from hospital bed after surgery

Former Love Island star Olivia Bowen has revealed that she has undergone surgery as she shared a snap from her hospital bed. The 30 year old shared a health update with fans on Instagram early on Wednesday morning, 16 October.

Olivia revealed that she may be quite quiet on her social media over the coming weeks as she had "minor surgery" - but said that she is not ready to reveal more information yet. She did however reassure fans that she is "absolutely fine" and asked them not to worry. In the picture she shared, Olivia is wearing a medical gown and flashes a peace sign for the camera, as well as giving a pout.

The mum of one said: “I may be a wee quiet on my socials over the next week or so. I had minor surgery (not cosmetic) I'm absolutely fine so please don't worry about me, I know what you guys are like you're so kind. It's no drama but I'm Just not ready to talk about it. xxxx"

It comes after Olivia and her husband Alex Bowen celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary last month on 15 September, with an adorable throwback video.

Taking to her Instagram, Olivia reminisced with video highlights from the big day six years ago. The couple, who were runners up on the second series of Love Island in 2016, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2018 at Gosfield Hall in Olivia's hometown of Essex after Alex proposed in New York on New Years Eve of 2016.

On the big day, surrounded by their family and friends, Alex was seen arriving in style in a helicopter while Olivia arrived by Rolls Royce.

The bride looked stunning in a white dress which featured lace detailing with spaghetti straps and a low back, while Alex donned an electric blue suit.

In the caption of the highlight reel, the star wrote: “The moment. The perfect moment. 6 years ago. Happy Anniversary to my husband, my best friend, my biggest supporter, my pain in the a**, my life partner, my baby daddy, my love.”

The star then teased: “4 years until the renewal babe,” which would mark 10 years since the big day. Husband Alex took to the post to gush: “Well done im crying [Laughing emoji] i need a coffee. Love you.”

Olivia’s dad also took to the comments, as he penned: “To my beautiful daughter Olivia who I worship and my wonderful son in law, who is like a son to me a cliche but true, we wish you a happy wonderful day and so many more of them xx”.
